AcadiPlus is the school-management platform built for Vivekanand Education Society. It has run real academic, examination and fee operations for roughly a thousand students, and it is offered to other schools on a per-student licence.
Most school ERPs are either thin CRUD apps that stop at a student list, or heavyweight “enterprise” suites that price every real feature behind an open-ended upsell. AcadiPlus was built the other way around: inside a working school, against the workflows staff run every day, with the India examination and report-card model treated as core rather than a checkbox.
Once those workflows were solid for a thousand students, the same codebase became a product. Anything a new school needs beyond its licence tier is scoped as an add-on with its own tables and a fixed deliverable — a build of weeks, quoted up front.
PHP ≥ 7.4 with MySQL / MariaDB, vanilla JS and CSS, Composer for spreadsheet export, deployable on shared hosting or on-premise. It ships as an installable PWA with an offline page and per-role shortcuts, plus a companion JSON API that native apps build on.
Licensed per enrolled student, per year, on a sliding scale by school size across three capability tiers. Standalone modules — payroll, library, hostel, accounting, admission CRM, biometric — are quoted per module on top of the tier. One-time setup, data migration and training are quoted separately. The tiers sit inside the Indian market band while bundling the exam and report-card depth as standard from Tier 2.
No “enterprise” black box. Each add-on is scoped with a fixed deliverable and a lead time in weeks — S, M or L.
Add-ons are built against a shared release train so the production system a thousand students depend on is never put at risk.
Before parent accounts go live, secrets move to environment config, seeded passwords are reset, the audit log goes on and off-site backups are scheduled.
